Mosslight Passage — Copper Mine Platformer Pack
A downloadable asset pack
Official release v1.0 — reusable copper-mine pixel assets
Build a short copper mine with mossy ground, teal machinery, a lamp-capped miner and two copper creatures. Mosslight Passage groups reusable terrain, scenery, characters, fixed UI and effects in one transparent atlas. Official version 1.0 includes a finite Godot platformer prototype, Ore Run, to show these assets in use.
What's included
- One transparent 512×1568 PNG atlas, organized on a 32px grid, with JSON rectangles, anchors and explicit clip timings.
- 31 miner frames in 12 clips: idle, walk, jump, fall, land, use, hurt, climb, mine, push, crouch and defeat. Mining has six frames, push four and defeat four.
- Two enemy designs / 16 frames: copper crawler and three-prong drone. Each has four move frames, two attack poses, one hurt pose and one defeat pose.
- Four beetle walking frames, plus the static service beetle.
- 24 terrain/ledge regions, copper machinery, timber supports, fungi, pickup art and connector pieces.
- Eight world-state families: locker, lever, plate, checkpoint, lift gate, ore node, breakable crate and exit beacon.
- 10 mechanism regions: spike strip, two saw phases, full/depleted ore, intact/broken crate, caution sign and locked/open exit beacon.
- 13 HUD/control regions: health and key-slot states, life/pause/audio icons, fixed 128×96 panel and four 128×32 long-button states. Small fixed buttons/icons are also included.
- Three effects with four frames each: collect, dust and hit. Two transparent background stamps are also included.
- Six example maps, a separate offline art inspector, a finite Godot 4 project and Tiled integration files.
- Auxiliary individual canvases, selected generated sources/prompts, English usage notes and a complete region inventory.
166 regions include frames, states and derived pieces, rather than 166 unique designs. Actual screenshots use the delivered pixels at native or integer display scales. Seven included Godot prototype captures show finite gameplay/HUD stages; they use deliberate state placements rather than a manual uninterrupted playthrough.
Play the included prototype
Ore Run is one short Godot level. Move and jump, use the pickaxe to mine or strike, collect the key, activate a checkpoint and reach the exit with at least three ore. Enemies and hazards can hurt the player. Defeat/respawn, pause and a fresh restart are demonstrated with the pack's character, effect and UI images.
A/D or arrows move; Space jumps; M uses the pickaxe; E activates a nearby checkpoint or attempts the exit; Esc pauses; R restarts. After defeat, Space/E or the overlay button respawns. Checkpoint respawn preserves collected progress; a full restart restores the run. The project opens in this prototype. The original Godot art inspector and offline HTML inspector remain separate tools.
Practical scope
This is a themed starter pack with a bounded prototype, not a complete commercial game or a universal framework. The exit uses a key-and-ore completion condition and an open image; no separately moving physical gate or elevator is supplied. Static machines remain scenery. Tiled and HTML inspect/export art rather than implement the Godot gameplay.
Terrain supports its stated outer/single-concavity cases, not an arbitrary 47-tile autotile brush. Backgrounds are stamps, not seamless looping layers. UI has fixed sizes/padding, with no nine-slice guarantee. Jump/fall/land are single-pose clips, climb two poses and crouch one. Enemy attack/hurt/defeat sequences are deliberately short.
General inventory/economy, save/load progression, full ladder/machinery/wiring systems, complex combat/Bosses, complete settings/controller/accessibility support, dialogue, audio and font assets are not included. Audio icons are artwork only. Some retained terrain repetition, pose contour changes and material-density differences remain; inspect the actual-pixel examples before use.
License
Use and modify the content in free and commercial games under the included Mosslight Passage Asset License 1.0, to the extent of the licensor's rights. Credit is optional. Do not redistribute or resell the artwork as a standalone asset collection. See the license for full terms.
AI disclosure
Artwork was created with generative AI assistance, then processed through measured nearest sampling, transparency calibration, selected palette reduction and practical atlas/scene/frame checks. Documentation and example code also received AI assistance. This is not native hand-drawn pixel art or a layered Aseprite project. Third-party reference artwork is not included. Local comparisons do not certify universal originality or platform acceptance.
